Auckland

It has been a jarring few days sleep wise, as to get from Thailand to Auckland involved 2 nights of no sleep really at all, so then yesterday we arrived in Auckland after a 10 hour flight, and got here in the afternoon. The customs check when you land is very thorough, as they have their biosecurity unit which is like going through security times 10. I had the drug dog stop at my bag and sniff like crazy....turns out he was smelling the remants of the fruit I had had the day before. Once we finally got out of the airport, we were surprised at how chilly is was here, about 15 C outside, and with a cold wind. Today is warmer however, I actually was comfortable in just a t-shirt instead of being bundled in my sweater like yesterday.

New Zealand is stunning from the air, can't wait to get out and explore. There are so many insane adventure activites to partake in, it seems anything you can jump, swing off, climb, and roll down, the Kiwi's have found a way to partake in adrenaline rushes! We also have to get used to normal prices for food again, although I found that my 4.00$ tea yesterday was a bit exhorbatant for regular tea!

I think we will like it here however, it is a pleasant change of pace. We just have to get our sleep on track, as we all stayed up last night until 7:30 am, unable to sleep, and slept in until 2:30 today.
